Reliable calmness even in changing situations
Perhaps encounters with other dogs generally go well – but as soon as distance, surroundings, or mood change, the calmness is lost. This is not a setback, but a normal part of the learning process.
Calm behavior only becomes truly stable when your dog can demonstrate it in different situations, in various locations, and under changing influences. This process is called generalization – and this is precisely where encounter training comes in – fostering calmness that lasts.
The focus is on controlled dog encounters, where your dog learns to confidently manage proximity and distance and to remain focused on you even amidst distractions. To promote the transferability of these skills to everyday life, we deliberately integrate various environmental stimuli such as joggers, bicycles, playing children, or unfamiliar noises.
The training deliberately takes place in different locations. This allows your dog to experience encounters in new contexts time and again, reinforcing what it has already learned.
You will learn to recognize signals early, assess situations realistically, and act confidently.
Your dog learns to remain responsive, to recall familiar strategies, and to develop stable, calm behavior patterns.
This training is designed for teams with a solid foundation in encounter management. Participation in a puppy course or the advanced encounter course – the basics – is required. Dogs without extreme reactions are welcome to participate. If your dog currently reacts very strongly, please contact us; we'd be happy to advise you on the best starting point.
Please note our terms and conditions , which are a binding part of our offers.
