Mantrailing is a specialized form of scent work in which your dog searches for a specific person using their unique scent. The dog picks up the trail and follows it with focus and independence. Working at their own pace, your dog uses their natural abilities calmly, attentively, and with high motivation.

This type of activity is deeply fulfilling for many dogs. It provides mental stimulation without creating hectic energy and allows dogs to find solutions independently. At the same time, it fosters a strong partnership between you and your dog, built on trust, attentiveness, and subtle communication.

In mantrailing, we adapt the search work to each individual human–dog team. Trail length, difficulty, and environment are built up gradually and adjusted regularly. The focus is not on speed or performance, but on a well-structured approach, positive experiences, and a calm working style.

Sessions take place at various locations, primarily in the Säuliamt region. Training in different environments helps your dog consolidate what they’ve learned and apply it flexibly. The exact meeting point will be announced in advance.

You will learn to observe your dog closely during the search, read their body language, and trust them without directing or controlling the process.

Your dog learns to work with concentration, make independent decisions, and use their abilities effectively.
