A safe start for your journey together

Adopting a rescue dog is a special step. Alongside joy and hope, it also comes with responsibility, as every dog brings its own history, experiences, and influences. Often, it is not entirely clear what a dog has been through or how it will respond to new situations. All the more important, then, is a calm and structured start.

The first period in the new home is crucial. Your dog begins to build trust, find orientation, and arrive in its new world. At the same time, you get to know your dog better day by day. This phase is valuable and offers many opportunities, but it can also bring uncertainty and challenges.

Rescue Dog Start is designed for you if your dog is about to move in with you or has been living with you for no more than three months. During this sensitive initial period, the focus is on creating safety, establishing clear structures, and giving your dog orientation. We address unwanted behaviors early, calmly, and with understanding, while deliberately encouraging desired behaviors.

Many rescue dogs are not yet ready for group classes during the initial phase. New environments, unfamiliar dogs, and numerous stimuli can add additional stress. That is why we work in a one-on-one setting and focus on your daily life, your routines, and your individual situation.

In training, we look together at what supports you right now, from settling into the new home and building calmness and trust to establishing first everyday structures such as walks, encounters, or being left alone.

You will learn to better interpret your dog’s behavior, recognize his signals, and gain confidence in handling different situations. You develop a sense of when guidance is needed and when your dog needs time.

Your dog learns to settle, build trust, orient toward you, and arrive in its new everyday life.

Rescue Dog Start is designed to relieve pressure, provide orientation, and offer you a safe framework for your shared beginning. You don’t have to know everything, and your dog doesn’t have to “function.” We support you with sound expertise, empathy, and step by step on your journey.
